Business Development Manager in UK & Ireland

Metinor is a fast-growing Norwegian company expanding across Europe and North America. We develop and deliver innovative continuous environmental monitoring systems designed for laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and other life science organizations.

We’re now looking for a Business Development Manager for the UK & Ireland; someone who combines hands-on lab understanding with commercial drive and long-term relationship focus.

About the role

You’ll be supporting our presence in the UK & Ireland market from end to end, from identifying prospects and conducting outreach to nurturing relationships, attending exhibitions, and managing opportunities in different stages.

You’ll take responsibility for your territory and have the freedom to organise your work in a way that drives results. We’re not a rigid or bureaucratic organisation, but we do expect a structured approach and good judgment in how you develop the market.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan for the UK & Ireland
  • Identify and engage potential clients in labs, pharma manufacturing, and related life science organizations
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, outreach, demos, follow-up, and closing
  • Represent Metinor at relevant exhibitions and industry events
  • Maintain accurate records and pipeline activity in our CRM system, Hubspot
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Business Development and wider team

Who you are

  • Background in laboratory work or a similar technical environment, ideally with commercial experience
  • Self-driven and comfortable working independently from a home office
  • Skilled at stakeholder management and building long-term trust
  • Understands that success in this market is a long game, built on credibility and consistency
  • Comfortable with frequent travel
  • Based in the UK
